2 steps to start profiting from your blog

Looking to start a blog and monetize it? Sure, it takes 5 minutes.

Who’s going to give you feedback and suggestions?

Wouldn’t you want reviews, or feedback -day in and day out- from other bloggers who are seriously trying to monetize their blog too?

People willing to pay for a 2 month trial to be among other online entrepreneurs?

3 years ago I started a blog about one of my hobbies. It wasn't profitable because I didn't analyze beforehand if the target market had disposable income, if the niche was profitable or whether it was too competitive. I enjoyed updating it but I felt that it was taking a lot of my energy. It turns out the nice was too competitive. Now, I'd like to make sure every step I do in my new blog will be helpful and profitable.

I'd like to share 2 steps I took 26 days ago.

I thought- get help from those who are there already, making a living online.

I stopped reading just online marketing articles. I went and looked for tips from people who already make a living online and offer products and coaching programs, like James Roche, Ezine Queen, and others.

Imagine yourself:

implementing tips where you see results in the short and long term,

automated some marketing strategies,

feel less worried,

"What if something happens and I can't be near the computer for a week or two, will my sales stop?"

Step 1:

Surround yourself with people who are already making a living online. Start “absorbing” how they think, how they approach marketing strategies.

One thing I learned the most is that they focus on the big picture, the results. I used to focus on getting a task done, even for hours, Once I did it. I’d move on to the next one. I didn’t know whether it gave me results. Didn’t know what to expect and whether I can do it quicker, or automate it. It’s the quickest way to stay motivated. You have support and accountability.

Step 2:

Avoid figuring out by yourself what type of target market you want to address.

Who’s to help you verify your niche can be profitable?

You can do it by yourself, it might take days to learn different marketing tips. Few more days to start implementing them. Pretty soon, it can get emotionally draining because you want to post often in your blog. How much time are you willing to dedicate?

Or, you can start off on the confidently knowing there's little risk. From Day 1 you’ll know that your blog is info that lot of people want. You’ll find out how to monetize it, use your expertise to help solve people’s problems. You’ll be relaxed because you know you’re not guessing, and your valuable time is being productive.

Don’t know what you’re good exactly? Let someone help you figure out, not only what you’re good at but help you set up marketing systems to market so you can help people, even without being ‘chained’ to the computer most of the time.

or

The best part about this is that you don’t just buy the program and start your online business. What about if your motivation starts waning? It comes with a support forum where people who also bought the program, support each other, share the tasks, ask for site feedback….

Take care,

5 ways a circle of online entrepreneurs helps you stay focused

Until last February, all my friends couldn't in the spur of the moment "take off" during the day for a get-together because of the 9-5 job. I started thinking, so where can I meet people who have a weekly schedule that allows them to have free time during the day without worrying that they won't get paid because the hours aren't there?

So where can I find online entrepreneurs and see them living the life I'd like this year?

I had been receiving The Success Connections, and Ezine Queen ezine for 6 months. I wanted to have a worry-free summer so I took the plunge about 15 days ago. I signed up to the circle. What do I expect to learn?

  • Reinforce the message that it is possible to make a living online by seeing others do it.
  • Write a marketing plan and get accountability and support to stay focused

Whave I got to lose if I join? Days of worrying, hearing the inner critic get louder with negative thinking.

I've been a member for almost a month. I got a binder to place the CDs of the recorded calls with the marketing strategies.

I use it to put sheets of the coaching calls, time management, daily priorities and vision.

My favorite part is the one on one help you get. Once a week there's a coaching call with a group about a specific topic.

One of the cash flow "inner game" elements was so nice to learn. I don't like to worry and "stick to the computer for 3 hours and market one product, we'll see when you'll market the next one." I already had written marketing tips but couldn't see where I was going. I wasn't clear. That cash flow "inner game" element now helps me take a deep breath and have at least 2 hours a day that I don't need to market for just one product.

5 ways this circle of online entrepreneurs helps you stay focused:

  1. Avoid putting off high-payoff marketing tips for days by learning how to automate marketing tasks, oftentimes just using technology
  2. Hear about strategies from the experts themselves you
wouldn't have found so quickly online.
  3. One on one coaching call to let someone who makes a living online answer your most pressing questions about your online business
  4. Meet other online entrepreneurs, and get inspired by hearing about their successes, like radio shows.
  5. Find out what marketing events they go to. Get discounts and advanced notice

You can read marketing tips daily and implement them.

How do you make sure it will get results?
Who's there to keep you accountable?
I don't know many online entrepreneurs yet that I can call up and discuss a marketing tip?

When you're starting out, it can be worrisome to find someone who's been there. I didn't want to keep hearing "online business, it's just luck, some people make it." I don't think so. I keep saying, if the Ezinequeen, Melanie Strick can do it, so can I.

5 reasons why I'd like to set up an automated online business

Hi,
I'm starting this blog to share the action steps I'll be taking every week to become an online entrepreneur.

5 reasons why I'd like to set up an automated online business :

1. Stop worrying about not making a monthly cash flow online

2. Be able to see 3 to 4 soccer Champions League and Premiership matches a week at noon LIVE on TV

3. Dedicate 11 hours a week to practicing the piano (more time for hobby)

4. Tour soccer stadiums in England, Italy, Portugal, and hopefully see a live Euro2008 match in Austria this summer. (travelling to Europe)

5. Donate yearly to 4 charities

I look forward to sharing resources with you and sparking new entrepreneurship ideas in you.
For more than 6 months I've been reading ezines on how these people make a living online and have lots of free time. I'm inspired now and will take action!
